This morning we read the story Miss spiders ABC's. We also talked about other words that start with the letters from the book.
We also practiced writing our friends names at our writing center today!

We also talked a lot about patterns today. We made various AB patterns and even some AABB patterns. Have a look ...
"I made a pattern - silver jewel, big jewel, silver jewel, big jewel" - R.D
"Red leaf, brown leaf, red leaf, brown leaf" - A.B
M.R and A.B made this very long pattern ... great teamwork :)
We even made patterns at our Pizza Shop in the dramatic play area!!! "mushroom, cheese, green pepper, mushroom, cheese, green pepper"
A.B also made patterns using our connector sticks with M.R

We also had a lot of fun playing with the playdough today! We were pretending to bake delicious cookies.
"We are making butterfly and heart cookies for the show tonight" - S.S (The children were pretending to bake cookies for the dramatic play area)

A few friends decided that they wanted to make an animal castle / zoo!
A.T, F.C, T.H, E.L, M.H and R.K made these amazing structures :)
Today in our dramatic play area some of the children decided to take a little break from the pizza shop and turned it into a theater. They made tickets and cookies to sell at the theater. They also put on a small production of the Nutcracker :) We have very creative students in our class, we are so lucky!!!
We had such a great today!! See you tomorrow :)
