Today we talked about our five senses with Ms. Mallamo. When asked what are the five senses these were some of our answers:
"Smelling and Seeing" - A.T, "Tasting"- A.B, "Touching" -R.D and "Hearing"- D.R(SK). Here are some pictures from this mornings lesson.
D.R (SK) knew that we hear with our ears
S.Y knew that we touch with our hands
R.D knew that we hear a cell phone ring with our sense of hearing
E.S knew that we tie our shoelaces with our sense of touch
A dinosaur house
"they are using their eye sense" - F.C
"They are tasting the grass" - R.K
"These things don't really smell good, it's reindeer food" A.D
" we are using our sense of smell and touch" S.A
"My house is made out of wood, I used bricks, and fire" - M.H
We used our sense of touch to make beautiful art.
S.O made some colourful hands ... she even made a "Earth Hand" using the colours green and blue.
S.O and R.K finger painting!!!
This is our sense of smell center. We put on the blindfold and then we would smell one of the jars. If we liked it then we put it on the smiley face, if we did not then we put it on the sad face.
C.C was having a great time trying to figure out what he was smelling and if he liked the smell of it :)
We had a bunch of fun using our fine motor skills (sense of touch) to make some pretty amazing creations with the melting beads.
D.R (SK) made this car out using melting beads.
E.L made a star using the beads. Great work and great focus :)
S.O made this pattern and Dinosaur in her journal book.
Great work today everyone!!! We learned so much about our 5 senses, and we had a bunch of fun too :)
See you tomorrow!!!
