We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend!!!  We loved hearing about everyone's weekend, about seeing family members and eating all the yummy food that we are so very thankful for :)

Monday, we started back with Ms. Mallamo and we continued learning our letter and letter sounds. 

Yesterday morning we started our "A" and "B" book.  The children had to draw a picture and write the word of something that starts with the letters.   

       

                               

A.B drew an Alligator. 

Two more students were showing us their writing skills.  H.M - decided to write Centre D'ecoute which she found written on our wall.  S.A - decided to write out the alphabet with the help of our Alphabet wall.  Great work girls!!! 

R.T -  made a beautiful piece of art using various foam letter and number shapes. 

S.O - was at the smartboard centre practicing her upper and lowercase letters!

We are getting really good at counting, and showing our numbers in different ways :)  E.S - was making little balls out of playdough to show the number 5.

Today (Tuesday) we had Mme. Cayci and we were talking about "Boucle d'or et les trois ours" (Goldilocks and the three bears). We were also talking about "Les Couleurs".  We are getting very good at knowing our colours in french.  We are very impressed :)

S.A was matching upper and lower case letters at our alphabet spoon centre. 

S.O - was having fun matching our alphabet gems to the alphabet on the paper. 

We also had a great time working on our October portfoilio wall sheets.  This month we are drawing a picture of our "Halloween Costumes".   Here are a few drawings of what we will be dressing up as ...   looking great!!!

 

S.Y decided to draw a beautiful picture of her Halloween costume "Ariel".

We also had some busy boys building towers and habitats for their marbles and dinosaurs. 

A.T made a house for some of her dinosaurs on the left.   Over on the right, B.M made "dinosaurland" where his dinosaurs like to live. 

R.D made a large 3D sculpture with the help of R.T and C.C

R.K decided to make a habitat for his bears  and E.L decided to make a house for his marbles. 

We had such a  great day filled with writing, building and the learning!!!
