We have had a great week in our room so far!!!
Since the Olympics have started, we have been very interested in talking about them :) We also created our very own Olympic board. A few friends helped make some biographies of our Canadian athletes that have won medals for team Canada!! We also made a graph tallying how many gold, silver and bronze medals we have.
We made out Olympic torch flames by tracing our hands and cutting them out :)
Here E.S is counting how many gold medals we have won so far!
D.R (SK) is working with Mme. Cayci to complete an athletes biography. The children have been showing a big interest in researching the athletes.
We have also continued to play and talk about our under the sea dramatic play area.
Here a few of the boys have made fishing rods to bring over to the Ocean area.
Here M.H and E.L were pretending to be pterodactyls eating fish that were caught in the net :)
S.A made an octopus and brought it in to show the class. She said that it would look great under our classroom ocean!!
On Friday we created this amazing yellow submarine. The children have loved playing in it :)
Here F.C is looking at some of our new French vocabulary pertaining to our Under the Sea inquiry!
With this being Valentines day week. We have been making valentines day crafts to bring home. We have also been playing at Valentines day centers :)
E.S was matching her upper and lower case letters.
S.O was counting how many little heart gems needed to go on each large numbered heart.
She then decided that she wanted to add some of them together :)
R.T was making a pattern using toilet paper rolls in the shape of hearts.
We also had a look at living and non-living things. The children had to put the living and non-living things in the proper column.
We have also been drawing beautiful art pieces and creating stories to go along with them.
R.D drew a picture of "a boy named Ronan who comes acoss a wolf while he is walking".
S.O drew a picture of dinosaurs who go to a party.
We have also been practicing writing our letters :)
T.H is practicing the letter "V"
We also had Hip Hop this morning and we will continue to have it for the rest of this week and next week :)
Have a great night and see you tomorrow!

True or false: the kids are invited to bring treats on Friday? Fin wants to make Rice Krispies. Is this acceptable?
ReplyDeleteYes, all the children are welcome to bring in treats this Friday if they would like to share something with the class. Rice Krispies would be lovely!
