Spelling words and tracing letters

Tuesday morning we had a great day with Ms. Mallamo!!

At morning circle we talked about hibernation.  When we asked what is hibernation, B.M told us it means "sleeping".

Why do the animals Sleep?
S.O  told us because It's really cold outside

We also talked about the arctic and how some animals like the cold and they have blubber under their skin to make them warmer. S.O told us that "Polar bears have really warm fur to make them warm at the North Pole".

We have also been practicing our letter sounds and putting those sounds together to make words.

Ms. Mallamo brought some new centers with her so we could practice making words.

We were making words, finding the foam letters and then writing the words.

Some friends also continued to help make items for our castle.   We also made the walls and door for our castle drawbridge gate :)

'

We even made a knight to protect our Castle gates

Using Q-Tips some friends traced numbers and letters.  We were practicing our numbers and letters as well as our fine motor skills :)

We had fun playing with our sensory bins today.   In the little sand bin we had salt and beautiful diamond gems.  Some were big and some were small.  C.C, A.B and A. D were counting the gems.

We had gym in the morning and we did some stretching, and did some fun running and jumping activities. We worked up a sweat!!!

We built towers with the corresponding number that was in the star

We practiced our counting and numbers by playing with our domino parking lot.  The children pretended that the dominoes were cars and had to match the number on the domino with the proper number space :)   F.C was having a great time at this center.  We have a bunch of smart cookies in our class :)

We had a great Tuesday!!!
