Ms. Whitteker wrote a letter to Santa a few weeks ago asking if we could maybe get a classroom helper to watch over us and to help Santa out. This morning we had a special surprise!!! Santa wrote us a special letter and he also sent us one of his favourite elves. Here is the letter that he sent us:
This is where our elf was hiding this morning. He was sitting on our Smart board. Maybe so that he could get a good look at all our of students :)
We haven't named our elf friend yet, although we have narrowed it down to 4 names. Tomorrow we will choose between:
* Chippy
* Rocky
*Sparkles
*Buddy
We also made some more snowmen...
We had a great time matching the number of buttons on each snowman. Here H.M enjoyed this activity :)
A few friends decided that they wanted to write letters to Santa using a Target catalogue to write their lists. We saw some great writing today!!!
We had fun playing with our new play dough!!! Thank you T.H for making it, the children love the colour and the smell. We were pretending to make Christmas cookies today.
We also made some pretty amazing structures today.
"A zoo" - R.T
It's a stadium for the animals" - R.D
We continued to have fun playing with our fake winter wonderland sensory bin. We added some snowmen, reindeer and even Santa!
H.M brought in a foam snowflake, and some glitter and showed some of her friends in class how to make a pretty amazing sparkly snowflake. So creative!!! We loved it :)
Have a great night and see you tomorrow :)
