Happy Easter / Joyeuses Pâques

We have had a great week so far!!! We have been talking a great deal about the meaning of Easter.

We were writing down the story of Easter and had the children tell us the events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday! We did a great job.

E.S drew a picture of Jesus

We did some great art work and writing this week!

We have also been making Easter crafts to take home!

S.O made an Easter bunny basket to put her treats in

Painting with cotton balls!

We made Easter eggs out of yarn and paper mache materials  :)   It got very messy, but we sure did have fun!

We used wet chalk to draw on our foam Easter eggs

Squeegee art using shavign cream and paint :)

Since Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Moore's class are currently incubating chick eggs we decided that we would put little eggs and chicks into the bin. We have had many friends talk about the baby chick eggs and we are very excited for when they hatch.

Friends were sorting the various Easter erasers, and also counting them and putting them in the appropriate Easter eggs.

Here A.T is matching the upper and lower case letters!

We were also searching for site words at this fun center and putting a bear marker on the words that they found!

E.L and F.C were making shapes with the pipe cleaners and Popsicle sticks

A.T organized the alphabet in order while playing with the alphabet puzzle!

We also talked about measurement.  Friends were measuring height and the width of various objects in the classroom.  We were also measuring how tall we were :)

T.H noticed that the pink grass buddy was the shortest and that the yellow grass buddy was the tallest. (measuring how tall the grass is)

On Wednesday we had our Potty Dance.  We had such a great time and raised money for a great cause.  Thank you very much for the donations!
