Krista our classroom grasshopper!

We enjoyed playing with the new sensory bins this week.  We now have a soil sensory bin with fake flowers, carrots, pots, shovels and gardening gloves :)

We also had fun playing with the construction sensory bin with rocks and trucks!

We found a new friend "Krista" our classroom Grasshopper!!! We put her in a container and enjoyed looking at her for an afternoon.   We drew pictures and made books about her :)
After a day we let her go.

L.M and E.S made many pictures and books about our grasshopper friend!  It was really neat to have a close look at Krista.

Grasshoppers have sensitive ears" - E.S

We did a story retell with Mrs. Mallamo. We read the story
"Andrews loose tooth" by Robert munch. We did a great job of listening to the story and then retelling all the facts that happened in the book  :)

Last week we were talking a bit about subtraction and this week  have started talking about addition.

We listened to "when you add with a pirate" ...

We had fun playing with the new play dough from S.B  :)

We did a great deal of building this week also.

D.R (SK) made this pretty amazing racetrack!  There has been some talk this past week of the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

R.D drew some of his favorite Formula 1 cars along with how fast they go :)

C.C made a rescue bot!

*** Thank you kindly to those who have donated to the Human Society's Dog Buddy program. They will be thrilled  :) If you still want to make a donation there is still time.

We had another great week!!!
